The Dega flags
There is no single Dega flag. There have been several, each belonging to a movement or an organization, and each carrying the history of the people who made it. This page shows the ones we can document, says where each comes from, and marks what we do not know.
Our organizations
A short directory of the organizations that Dega people in exile have founded, or that work closely with us: what each is, where it is, and when it began. We list them so that readers know who is who. Listing an organization here is not an endorsement of everything it says, and none of them speaks for us.
Our veterans in America
Thousands of our men fought alongside American Special Forces between 1961 and 1975. The United States brought some of them to North Carolina in 1986 and 1992 because of that service. It has never counted them as veterans. This page sets out what the record shows about the men, the Americans who stood by them, and the gap that remains.
